On March 1, 2017 at 5:45 am, JAL is reopening their newly redesigned Sakura Lounge in the Suvarnabhumi International Airport located in Bangkok. The design and level of comfort guest will be able to enjoy are in line with what JAL is offering in terms of lounges back in its home country of Japan.
As part of the upgrade in the lounge is more space to sit back in comfort, out of the crowds in the main airport area. There are also new additional showers to help guest get rejuvenated so their stay can be more relaxing.
Another area of the lounge that has seen major improvements is in the dinning section. This area has a simple elegance to it with a new meal provider. The well known Japanese restaurant in Bangkok, NIPPON-TEI is providing the new menu items that will include Japanese appetizers and Beef Curry dishes ready to be enjoyed by guests of the lounge.
Other improvements include power outlets and USB ports at all seats in the lounge so powering up and staying connected with personal electronic devices is made simple.
There is also a new section for securing baggage when guests are in the lounge. Each locker will have its own numeric locking mechanism to help keep items safe and secure.
For those guests that smoke, there is a separate section in the lounge especially designed for them to enjoy their tobacco products. This is made possible with this area having its own ventilation system limiting the possibility of second hand smoke in other areas of the lounge.
The newly designed Sakura Lounge will soon be the place to get refreshed and relax with a meal and stay connected while waiting for the flight to depart from Bangkok for JAL passengers.
