Delta Airlines will be introducing new service products from Alessi for their guests to use while enjoying a meal or a drink during their trips in the sky. The new flatware and dishes will begin to appear on April 1st of this year.

This move along with the purchase of new aircraft is just part of the investment Delta has been making to enhance the flying experience of their passengers. Advances in boarding process, new and redesigned lounges along with Wi-Fi on the aircraft has also been an upgrade from what passengers experienced back in the lean years of the airlines industry.

The new tableware and serving items will be enjoyed by passengers in first class and Delta One. Before the end of the year, Delta Premium Select passengers will also be served using this designer service ware.

The material used in the creation of the new items includes bone china, crystal glassware and stainless steel. The selected items were created by 6 of the custom designers from Alessi has on staff out of more than 300 they employ.

For passengers of Delta that might recognize some or all of the items, their eyes are not deceiving them. Each of the items have already been tested on flights so they could show their worth and usefulness in practice as well as on paper.

The new items are being labeled as one-of-a-kind Alessi serviceware. Personally I keep looking at the pictures and still have not noticed anything that is so special about the coffee cup, the fork or any of the other items. On a positive note, the material used for the selected items are top quality.

On a personal note, I would rather see more food on the plate than a designer name on my fork.
